What Customers Say About Nokia N810 Designio Leather Case (Horizontal Flip Cover):

very stylish, perfect fit.classy. excellent price too. it will protect the Nokia N810 nicely & keep it in "like new" condition.

Just a material property. So the design of the part which hold the device is simply a matter of bad engineering. What is the use of a case which doesn't fit well.On the pro site, this IS a beautiful case. Eventually it became 2 stars. Or integrate with the bracket. Instead, I have to shift and wiggle the PDA to unstick it, and slide the complete device out, then open it, and slide it back. Since the flip bracket at the rear side isn't functional anymore when using the case, they could have designed the case such that it could be attached to the Nokia in place of that bracket.

But that is where the problem begins. I love the feel of the case and you realize that you hold quality in your hands, and not some cheap Chinese plastic. However, the most important requirement for a PDA case is to hold the device correctly, protecting it well and make it easily accessible at the same time, and this goal was not met.Yes, I did slide just the keyboard into the plastic sleeve and not the entire device. When the upper part is slided upwards to access the keyboard, the plastic cover is still on top of the keyboard. Typing wasn't all that great already on the N810, now with this plastic cover it became even worse. I have been doubting heavily whether I should rate this case with 2 stars or 3. This is quite some area of very good, smooth and clean sticking material. With all the force I have in my both hands I am NOT able to slide the Nokia open anymore.

It is logical that this happens, if you want to remove a piece of cling-wrap plastic, you pull it off from the surface. When you pull parallel to the surface the plastic tears, but will never come loose. It clings. Very nice soft leather, a very rigid and strong magnetic clasp, room for memory cards, etc. It would have been much better if the case was designed with to pieces of spring steel holding the keyboard at the sides.

Most of the tactile feedback is lost, and it feels a bit like typing with gloves.Secondly, which is even worse (and the reason for the 2-star rating), this plastic develops the same behaviour as shrink wrap plastic which is used in the kitchen for covering food and bowls. More accurately, after 24 hours or so the plastic sleeve sticks to the bottom of the upper part of the Nokia, the part which you want to slide upward. If that was felt to provice inappropriate holding force, they could have integrated a complete sheet of spring steel to clamp the keyboard in.There are more options. When it would have replaced the bracket, the addition advantage would have been that the USB port would be accessible without taking the N810 out of the case.

I got this case for my new n810 and in general I am happy with it. I feel like the material for the plastic that holds the device in is a bit cheap, but besides that it does the job quite well. I like the SD card slots in the top (even though it takes miniSD) and the card holders. Would recommend.

This allows the user to slde open the tablet and use it while in its protective case. The product is excellent in quality, size, and style. The other reviewers who say it is the wrong size for the nokia n810 are not placing the tablet in the case properly. It is designed so the keyboard inserts in the plastic sleeve. Other users are trying to put the entire tablet in the plastic sleeve. I love this case.

I also thought it didnt fit when it first arrived, but once you force/push it in the transparent plastic holder the first time, it fits and holds tight as it is supposed to do.material and trimming, more than expected.
